ANCOR was saddened to learn that Mary Pauline Jones, a former member of the association’s staff, passed away from cancer on May 15. She was 36.
Mary Pauline was ANCOR’s Grassroots Advocacy Manager, serving on the Government Relations team from August 2009 through January 2013. Subsequently, she worked as a fundraiser for another organization before starting her own consulting business. She was also a member of the Fairfax Area Disability Services Board.
Mary Pauline was a resident of Herndon, VA, at the time of her death. She was known for her love of politics, as well as her love of cooking and baking—often bringing treats to the office for ANCOR staff to enjoy. She was also a diehard fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team. More information about Mary Pauline’s life and death can be found in her obituary.
Jerri McCandless retired in 2022 from her role as ANCOR’s Special Assistant to the CEO.
