ANCOR Joins 235 Organizations in Letter Supporting MFP Reauthorization

ANCOR has joined 63 national organizations and 172 state organizations in a letter to the Senate Finance Committee, urging the renewal of the Money Follows the Person (MFP) program. The program expired in 2016, and while states have remaining grant funding which they can use through 2020, many are scaling back their MFP programs and dedicated staff. Because MFP is an important part of rebalancing initiatives to assist people with disabilities with integrating in the mainstream community, ANCOR supports the renewal of the program’s funding (reauthorization) and Sarah Meek, ANCOR’s Director of Legislative Affairs, has been leading the work on the reauthorization bill on behalf of disability organizations.
