Giving Thanks for Everyday Heroes

In this season of gratitude, the team at Foothold Technology wanted to take a moment to send our thanks to all the agencies, providers, front line staff and DSPs who work tirelessly to support their communities and bring about victories, large and small, for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As an electronic record vendor, we’re honored and proud to support providers across the country. We also thank ANCOR for their partnership, and state associations like PAR, IARF, NYSACRA, IAC and others, who work closely with ANCOR to advocate for change, a fair wage for DSPs, and legislation to support families across the country.

One of the ways Foothold Technology shows thanks to our customers is through our annual Impact Prize. Selected each year, winners of the Foothold Technology Impact Prize represent human service agencies using data and service documentation from AWARDS, Foothold’s web-based software for human services agencies, to inform decision-making, track outcomes, streamline operations, coordinate care within the communities they serve, and impact the lives of the individuals and families they support. Impact Prize nominations are submitted by peers and colleagues, and the winners are selected by a small cross-departmental committee of Foothold Technology staff.

In 2017, prizes were awarded to Foothold Technology customers in three different categories. One category, Greatest Impact on Client Services, celebrated an agency who increases positive outcomes for the individuals it serves by using AWARDS. This year’s winner, Carline Dalton, Clinical Coordinator in the Behavioral Health Division of Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey (Goodwill NY/NJ), led the charge in establishing new workflows and documentation standards to position Goodwill NY/NJ as one of the earliest adopters of providing Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and documenting it in AWARDS under new guidelines. As Jenna Tine, Senior Vice President at Goodwill NY/NJ stated, “Under Carline’s leadership, the services that are provided to recipients are high quality and our documentation reflects this quality. This has resulted in paid claims and vibrant service modality in a very challenging environment.”

“Foothold Technology celebrates this year’s Impact Prize winners, and we celebrate all our customers who are empowering and impacting the communities they serve,” said Nick Scharlatt, Co-Founder of Foothold Technology. “After all, we’re not just a software company. We come directly from the human services sector, and that is ingrained in everything we do. We help the people who help the people. Congratulations to this year’s winners and thank you to all providers for doing the work you do.”
