ANCOR Celebrates House Passage of 3 Month Extension of MFP

As shared in our statement on Tuesday, December 11, 2018:

“[The] U.S. House of Representatives passed the IMPROVE Act, a sweeping health care package that covers a wide array of provisions. Chief among the bill’s provisions for members of the disability community is a three-month extension of the Money Follows the Person (MFP) program administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

As the leading proponent for the extension of MFP funding, ANCOR applauds the House’s bipartisanship and legislative leadership in passing the IMPROVE Act and looks forward to the legislation passing in the Senate, potentially as early as tomorrow.”

Our full statement is available online, as well as ANCOR’s letter of support for this legislation and the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities’ (CCD) letter of support.

IMPORTANT: The IMPROVE Act still needs to pass the Senate in order to get through Congress. Please use this tool to alert your Senators to the value of the MFP program!
