ANCOR is sharing this announcement by the National Center on Advancing Person-Centered Practices and Systems (NCAPPS) as an update on our prior article announcing the creation of the Center.

As announced by NCAPPS:

“For up to 100 hours per year for up to three years, NCAPPS provides technical assistance to state agencies, territorial governments, and tribal governments to advance person-centered thinking, planning and practice to support people with disabilities and older adults with long-term service and support needs.

In February 2019, NCAPPS received 33 applications for technical assistance, and 15 states were selected for the first cohort. Technical assistance recipients work with national subject matter experts toward individualized goals focused on systems change to ensure the person is at the center of service organization and delivery.
