  • Be the first to hear the results of the latest ANCOR/State of the States Use of Technology Survey and how it compares to other stakeholders’ results.
  •  Hear from leadership from the National Association of State DD Directors how your funders and state partners are thinking about technology, its possibilities and how to support it.
  •  Join the conversation with CMS and other federal partners grapple with these same issues and learn more about guidance and guidelines they are developing for the use of technology in HCBS settings.

Space is limited, and we do anticipate selling out, so don’t wait to claim your seat!

To ensure as many of our members can participate as possible, we ask that organizations register no more than two of its staff to participate.

Tuesday, October 29

Breakfast (8-9 am)
Tech Summit Kickoff (9-9:45 am)

Technology is closing gaps in accessibility and has the potential to revolutionize the way we provide support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). However, there are still ongoing challenges in accessing technology solutions for providers and people with I/DD.

In this kickoff, we’ll get ready for a day of learning and networking. We’ll lay out the roadmap for our day together, and prepare for an engaging Summit where we’ll come together to consider policy, resources and regulations that are helping or hindering these advances.

Be the first to hear the results of the 2024 ANCOR/State of the States Use of Technology Survey, compare results with its companion survey to state DD Directors and use this analysis and discussion to inform your organization’s own advocacy and operations.

Getting to Old Town Alexandria

The closest airport is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), and we recommend flying into DCA as it’s only five miles from the Summit venue and accessible by taxi, rideshare service (e.g., Lyft or Uber) or public transit (i.e., Metrorail Blue and Red Lines).

Other area airports include Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD), which is about 30 miles from the Summit venue, and Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI), which is about 35 miles from the Summit venue.

For those located in East Coast cities served by Amtrak, you may find traveling by train to be the most efficient and affordable option. Amtrak serves Washington’s Union Station, which is a seven-minute walk from the Summit venue.

Getting Around Old Town Alexandria

If you fly into DCA, taxis are available, as are rideshare services like Uber and Lyft. The cost of these options depends on level of service and time of day.

Metrorail, the D.C. area’s subway system, is also a convenient option for travelers flying into Washington National Airport.

From the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Station, you can take the Yellow Line in the direction of Huntington to get off at the King Street-Old Town metro stations. As any Washingtonian will tell you, you should check Metro’s operating status before deciding to use this option. The system tends to be efficient and reliable, but track work or other delays can make for a long trip.
