Last week, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) and U.S. Representative Debbie Dingell (D-MI) announced they are reintroducing the Better Care Better Jobs Act, a bill that would expand access to home and community-based services (HCBS). Not only would the Better Care Better Jobs Act provide a 10 percentage point federal match (FMAP) increase for eligible states, but it would also require updates to payment rates to promote recruitment and retention of direct care workers, increase wages, and develop and update training opportunities.

ANCOR is pleased to support the reintroduction of the Better Care Better Jobs Act and will continue to work in coordination with both Senator Casey and Representative Dingell. For more, read ANCOR’s statement in support of the bill’s reintroduction.
