The U.S. House of Representatives’ Judiciary Committee is planning on holding a hearing titled Examining Class-Action Lawsuits against Intermedia Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID). Specifically, the subcommittee overseeing the hearing is the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, chaired by Congressman Steve King (R-IA). Originally scheduled for March 1, the hearing has been postponed because the Rev. Billy Graham will be laying “in state” at the Capitol that week. No new date has been announced, and the Committee has not yet shared a hearing description or list of speakers who will testify. ANCOR will announce the new date once that information becomes available, but members can monitor updates on the hearing page here.
