The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently issued new COVID-19 communication materials to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This new suite of materials was developed by the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD) and includes posters, social stories, videos, and interactive activities. The themes and topics touch on important COVID-19 prevention topics, including getting vaccinated, getting a COVID-19 test, handwashing, wearing a mask, and keeping a safe distance until fully vaccinated. All materials are also available in Spanish.

For interested readers, the CDC has also put together a promotional toolkit to support spreading the word about the availability of the new communication materials.
