CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. CARF’s reputation is founded on four things:

  • Its unique peer review accreditation model, which includes a consultative survey and field-driven standards.
  • Its business practice standards, called the ASPIRE to Excellence® framework, which add value by helping create best practices using proven systems and approaches.
  • Its core values around keeping services person-centered.
  • Its strong emphasis on continuous quality improvement in outcomes for persons served.

ANCOR is a longstanding member of CARF’s International Advisory Council. It provides guidance and input into standards development and the accreditation process and also provides insight on issues affecting the field.

Citizens for Long Term Care

A coalition of over 100 disability organizations working together to advocate national policy that ensures self-determination, independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion for people with disabilities into all aspects of society.

For the past two years, ANCOR has been working with an alliance of national organizations—Citizens for Long Term Care (CLTC). The effort, headed by former Senator David Durenberger (R-MN), is a collaboration of over sixty major national organizations representing all segments of the long term care (services and supports) debate. CTLC includes consumer groups, the disability community, care providers, insurers, unions, women's groups, and business interests. However, due to the broad range of organizations, Citizens for Long Term Care agreed early on that it was committed solely to raising the issue of long-term services, not proposing specific legislative solutions.

Liaison: Bill Beattie, Associate Executive Director, New Horizons Resources, Inc.

For over 45 years, CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership has demonstrated international leadership in designing progressive practices in supports and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, those with mental health diagnoses, older adults, and children and youth. CQL provides accreditation, training, certification, data management, and customized consultation to human service organizations and systems that share our vision of dignity, opportunity, and community for all people.

ANCOR and CQL have partnered to enhance the quality of supports provided by human service organizations, and the quality of life for people receiving those supports. This new collaboration provides ANCOR members with a 10% discount on core CQL services, including CQL Accreditation, CQL Training, and CQL Certification. In addition to core services, this partnership also offers organizations a 10% discount on customized consultation. Learn more:
