Written by Donna Martin, Director of State Partnerships and Special Projects:

The 2019 ANCOR Policy Summit & Hill Day is rapidly approaching and we have a full agenda of that addresses timely issues through informative panelists and speakers. I am particularly excited about our panel presentation on Business Acumen in value-based purchasing.

We will be hearing about ANCOR’s work on the ACL Business Acumen grant from two perspectives. The first being from Shannon Mackenzie from Simply Connect Care Management who participated in the Business Development Learning Collaborative. She will share insights, lessons learned, and how her work on the grant has helped prepare her organization for integrated care and alternative payment models.

We will also hear from Kris Kubnick with Inclusa, a non-profit MCO operating in Wisconsin’s Family Care program. Kris will share insights from their experience supporting nearly 15,000 people across the state, all with a community mission at the forefront. They also contract with over 6,000 providers, many of which are local, small businesses. Kris will also offer suggestions for steps providers should take to better prepare for the possibility of operating in an integrated care environment.

I hope you join us for the 2019 ANCOR Policy Summit and Hill Day! There will be lots to learn and bring back to your teams!
