Rod Braun, Executive Director at Christian Opportunity Center (COC) for over 31 years, retired on June 29. Rod was recently named an ANCOR Legacy Leader at our 2018 Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA, and he has also served on the ANCOR Board of Directors. In the early days of ANCOR’s National Advocacy Campaign, Rod also served as Chair of the Grassroots Task Force. In retirement Rod is looking forward to doing a small bit of consulting, lots of volunteering, learning Spanish as well as the piano, and having some fun on the lakes in Iowa in his new fishing and skiing boat. John EllersJohn Ellers, who had been associate director at COC since 2004, was named Executive Director. John has worked with people with developmental disabilities as a social worker, case manager, and administrator. Rod Braun stated “John is well-qualified to lead COC into the future and has all the skills to build on COC’s 49 years of successful supports for people with disabilities.”

Jodi TukkerJodi Tukker was promoted to Associate Director on June 29 after nearly 19 years with COC. She began her time there as a DSP, working summers in college. She then moved onto various positions in multiple programs. With this new position, Jodie will be responsible for the oversight of programs and human resource operations. Congratulations Jodi!
