CMS Extends Comment Period for 1915(c) Waiver Application and Technical Guide

On December 22, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a notice to extend the currently approved 2019 version of the 1915(c) Waiver Application and Technical Guide through a separate upcoming 30-day public comment period. CMS stated, “[t]his approach will provide additional time for CMS to finalize responses to the comments on the proposed changes received by the close of the November 13, 2023 comment period.” 

The new comment period will close on January 24. For more information, see the notice in the federal register.
