Transformation to Competitive  Employment Act

On January 30, Senator Bob Casey [D-PA] along with Representatives Bobby Scott [D-VA] and Cathy McMorris Rodgers [R-WA] introduced the Transformation to Competitive Employment Act (HR 873/S 260) in both the House and Senate.

This landmark legislation aims to dramatically increase competitive, integrated employment for people with disabilities by providing large grants and extensive technical assistance to both states and individual providers. Additionally, the bill ensures that workers with disabilities — in integrated and non-integrated settings — are paid at least minimum wage by gradually phasing out the 14(c) certificate program over six years.

Join congressional staffers Kimberly Knackstedt, Disability & Education Policy Director for the U.S. House Education & Labor Committee, and Michael Gamel-McCormick, Disability Policy Director for the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, to learn more about the legislation and get all your questions answered.

This webinar is free and for ANCOR members only. A recording will be made available for registrants.
