ANCOR is sharing this article by Politico Pro because it is important for our members to stay informed of changes in key positions in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which oversees Medicaid.

As shared by Politico Pro:

“Jack Kalavritinos, who has led HHS internal and external affairs since December 2017, is leaving the Trump administration, the department announced today. HHS did not announce a replacement.

Kalavritinos will join APCO Worldwide, a communications consulting firm, as a senior director later this month, APCO confirmed to POLITICO.

As head of the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs, Kalavritinos was HHS’ main point of contact with local governments as well as with business leaders, the faith-based community and other outside groups on initiatives like combating the opioid crisis and lowering drug prices.”
