The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the largest purchaser of health care in the world, is currently seeking a passionate individual with a background in health care policy leadership to serve in its Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS), Disabled and Elderly Health Programs Group (DEHPG) as Director. As Group Director, you will provide leadership and executive direction for four broad program areas within the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) Medicaid: (1) benefit design for all populations, including Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT), pharmacy, regular state plan services and alternative benefit plans; (2) administration of the federal Medicaid pharmacy rebate program; (3) oversight of Medicaid integrated health care delivery system authorities, including managed care plans, primary Care Case Management (PCCM), Health Homes and Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE); and (4) oversight of long term services and supports (LTSS) waivers and state plan services for the nation’s disabled and elderly Medicaid health care beneficiaries.  

You will establish the overall internal policies, procedures, objectives, and priorities. You will lead and coordinate subordinate managers and staff. You will also be engaging with high-ranking State and Federal officials and developing ongoing working relationships with relevant entities, including other Federal agencies, States, provider organizations, beneficiary groups, and advocacy organizations.
