Disability Community Honors Leader Marca Bristo

It was with a heavy heart we learned last week of Marca Bristo’s passing, a true leader in the disability rights movement. Esme Grewal on staff, who had the pleasure of working with Marca on the disability treaty (CRPD) when she first came to Washington, D.C. shared that, “Marca was kind but tough and dedicated her life to disability rights. I am so glad to have the incredible memories I do from the treaty campaign but even more proud that they were with Marca, someone who fought every day for true good. “
