Speaker

Michael Ockey is executive director of FranklinCovey's higher education practice. For two decades, he has been Stephen R. Covey’s partner in spreading the influence of principle-centered leadership throughout the world.

Michael assisted Dr. Covey in the research, development, writing, editing and marketing of two books – The Leader in Me and most recently The 3rd Alternative. In addition, he was the global director of Dr.  Covey’s worldwide speaking business and has traveled with him all over the world. He successfully organized one-on-one meetings and appearances with President George W. Bush, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kevin Turner – COO of Microsoft Corporation, Kazuo Inamori – Chairman and CEO of Japan Airlines (JAL), Admiral Michael Mullen – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and training with the Obama Transition Team leading up to the inauguration.

Michael has strengths in developing people and mentoring their leadership skills. He has led leadership-development initiatives at several Fortune 500 clients including Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Lockheed Martin, Verizon Communications and several smaller organizations.
