Keeping Up with Wage and Hour Law: What Changes to the FLSA Mean to You

April 23, 2015 - 5:00pm to 6:15pm
Eastern Daylight Time

Description

Many significant changes to wage and hour law have occurred over the past two years. From a narrowing of the companionship exemption, to a trend of states raising the minimum wage, to the Administration taking a close look at the executive/administrative overtime exemption rules, providers that employ home care workers have to navigate the rapidly-changing landscape of wage and hour law. To assist providers with this responsibility, ANCOR has teamed up with John Gilliland, an expert on labor law, to develop a thorough and completely updated Wage & Hour Handbook specifically for ANCOR members (available soon!) This webinar will provide participants with a better understanding of the recent changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as an update on the current status of the Department of Labor Home Care rule in light of recent legal challenges. Mr. Gilliland will guide participants through the major topics contained in the new handbook, with emphasis on recent changes.
