ICF/IID: Avoiding Common Surveyor Citations

July 29, 2014 - 5:00pm to 6:30pm
Eastern Daylight Time

Join Catherine Hayes for this webinar and learn the most recent top 10 citations by ICF/IID surveyors, and how you can avoid them in your organization. She will review each regulation, discuss why it might be cited and ways to stay in compliance with these frequently cited deficiencies. Special emphasis will be given to W249 – the Number One citation in 2013.

W249 requires the provider to implement an individual’s annual program plan as soon as possible after it is developed. The regulation requires that each individual must receive continuous active treatment programing, consisting of needed interventions and services in sufficient number and frequency to support the achievement of the objectives the Interdisciplinary Team includes in the individual’s program plan. Surveyors were recently trained on this regulation and providers can expect more emphasis on it in future surveys.

Hayes will also review the three surveyor tools used to assess compliance, and show how you can use them to improve supports and services.

There will be time for questions and answers with participants.

This session will not be recorded.
