In Memoriam: Charlene P. Kinnelly

Sadly, Charlene Kinnelly, long time ANCOR member and advocate for people with development disabilities, passed away on October 28 at the age of 73. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kinnelly, and her partner, John Goudreau, of Gardiner; her beloved grand-daughter, Lacy Goudreau, also of Gardiner; a brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Suzanne Pomeroy, of Malvern, PA; a sister, Pamela Gilliam, of Collingswood, NJ; a sister-in-law, Marylin Pomeroy, of Woodstock, CT.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family.

Charlene dedicated her career to supporting and advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families. She was a true leader and advocate. Charlene previously served on the ANCOR board of directors both as a director and an officer. She was a former executive director at Uplift, Inc. where she worked for 27 years. Charlene retired earlier this year as a lobbyist for the Maine Association for Community Service Providers.
