Voter Resource: Plain Language Voter Guide for People with Disabilities

With some states’ voter registrations periods still open, members might be interested in sharing this 2016 plain language voting guide with the individuals they support – the information is still current. In this guide, the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN), the National Disability Rights Network, and the firm of Schulte Roth and Zabel compiled resources to explain which federal laws protect voting rights, how to challenge voter competence requirements, navigate voter ID laws and other such critical aspects of voting.

ANCOR is also proud to support the One Person, One Vote campaign and the REV UP campaign, both of which offer voting resources for individuals with I/DD.
