According to PoliticoPro:

“A top House Democrat [Rosa DeLauro, D-CT] warned Wednesday that medical research, opioid programs and federal student aid could see spending cuts next year after GOP leaders devoted less money than expected to their largest domestic spending bill.

[…]

DeLauro and other Democrats don’t know yet which programs could be on the chopping block. The text of the House’s Labor-HHS-Education bill isn’t expected to be released until late June.

[…]

That bill — which makes up one-third of domestic funding controlled by Congress — is set to receive $177 billion in fiscal 2019. That’s the same amount as the fiscal 2018 omnibus, H.R. 1625, which represented a $16 billion increase from the previous year.” [ANCOR note: other PoliticoPro stories are reporting $171.1 billion for fiscal 2019. Final numbers will be available in June.]
