Senate Appropriations Committee Releases 2017 Labor-HHS Spending Bill and Report

On June 9, the Senate Committee on Appropriations held a markup of its FY2017 Labor, HHS, and Education Appropriations bill (S. 3040). The bill passed easily through the committee with a vote of 29 to 1. The bill would reduce spending from FY2016 overall by approximately $270 million, though disability-related programs would be funded nearly at FY2016 levels.
