Resources for Hurricane Florence

ANCOR is keeping members addressing the impact of Hurricane Florence in our thoughts as we begin this new week. U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Azar declared the hurricane to be a public health emergency, a procedural step which gives Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries more flexibility in meeting their emergency needs. Because we know that for many in the Southeast recovery work has just begun, we have updated our Disaster Relief Efforts page with new resources from the federal government that are specific to Hurricane Florence. If you become aware of additional resources, please email them to [email protected] so we can add them to that page.

Having just wrapped up a week of celebrating Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) during DSP Recognition Week, we would be remiss if we did not salute the commitment of DSPs who work hard during emergencies to ensure the individuals they support are safe and have everything they need. Thank you all, for your strength in difficult times.
