Mathematica Policy Research has released an April 2012 report titled, "How Will the ACA Affect Community Rehabilitation Programs?" The report lays out provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that will impact employers and discusses expanded Medicaid eligibility under the act.
The report notes that community rehabilitation programs (CRPs) and employers will likely be asked to enroll additional Medicaid participants in their health plans. The report further explains that while more people will be eligible for Medicaid under the ACA, states will not have to offer full Medicaid services to all beneficiaries, offering instead "benchmark" coverage, which will cover fewer services, but still provide all essential benefits as required in qualified health plans. The report also discusses several scenarios applicable to varying sizes of CRPs for Medicaid participant enrollment.
