RAISE Family Caregivers Act scheduled for consideration in the House on Dec 18

The RAISE Family Caregivers Act has been scheduled for House consideration under suspension of the rules on Monday. We understand debate is expected about 4:30 PM and a vote about 6:30 PM. The bill the House would take up is essentially H.R. 3759 (introduced by Reps. Harper and Castor and consistent with the Sens. Collins and Baldwin Senate-passed bill) with one change – a three year sunset instead of a five year sunset. With this change the bill sponsors were able to secure a vote in the House. Assuming House passage of the bill, it would then go over to the Senate for potential passage by unanimous consent. ANCOR has been a long-time supporter of this legislation.
