November 21, 2016

The Department of Health & Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) has released a work plan for 2017 indicating some of the focus areas for their work in the next year. OIG is in charge of overseeing fraud, abuse, and waste in Medicaid and other HHS services. Notably, they are going to release a brief on fraud in personal care services and also look into whether states have issued unallowable room and board costs.
