New Mexico Submits Section 1115 Comprehensive Care Waiver

September 7, 2012

On August 17, New Mexico submitted a Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration proposal entitled "Centennial Care," which proposes to create a comprehensive managed care delivery system in the state. If approved, existing Section 1915(b), 1915(c) and 1115 waivers would be combined with the new waiver.

The state seeks the waiver with the goal of offering the full array of Medicaid services, including acute, behavioral health, home and community-based and long-term institutional care.

Public comment on the proposal may be submitted here through October 5, 2012.
