New Hampshire Hospitals Ask For Federal Intervention on Medicaid

On April 26, according to the Union Leader, 160 New Hampshire hospital trustees wrote a letter to Medicaid officials requesting federal intervention to stop what they see as a deterioration of the Medicaid delivery system. In the letter, the trustees say that a $130 million reduction in Medicaid payments to their hospitals was done with no analysis on impacts to the poor and needy, which is required under the Medicaid Act.
