On July 7, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies marked up an appropriations bill for FY 2017. As reported last week in WICs, the bill would deny funding necessary to implement two Department of Labor rules, specifically the Fiduciary rule and the Overtime rule. (See WICs article, "House Appropriations Subcommittee Draft FY2017 Spending Bill Would Block Funding for DOL Rules," July 7, 2016.)
The bill language that came out of the subcommittee is available here. The bill will now move to the full committee for consideration.
