The House and Senate passed a continuing resolution (H.R. 1473) on April 14 that funds the government through FY 2011.The House passed the legislation 260–167 and then passed the Senate 81–19. The resolution was the result of an agreement between House, Senate, and White House negotiators on April 8.
The resolution includes $40 billion in cuts. As part of the agreement, Republicans eliminated provisions that would have defunded the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and funding for Planned Parenthood.
