HHS Accelerates Development of Zika Vaccine

On September 7, the Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS') Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response announced an $8.2 million contract award to Moderna Therapuetics of Cambridge, MA to help speed the development of a novel vaccine to prevent the spread of the Zika virus.
