Health Care Law Increases Medicaid Payments to Primary Care Doctors

May 14, 2012

On May 9, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a proposed rule that would increase the Medicaid payments received by primary care physicians. The increase would bring Medicaid primary care services fees in line with those paid by Medicare.

Comments will be due on the proposed rule 30 days after its publication in the Federal Register. The HHS brief may be found here.
