DOJ Launches Initiative to Protect Rights of Individuals with Disabilities

On July 26, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a new initiative aimed at enforcing laws protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities in health care settings. The Barrier-Free Health Care Initiative is part of the DOJ's Civil Rights Division and will focus on making sure that this population is not discriminated against in their access to health care.
